Italy: the center of high-end furniture design
Alice understood that Italy has long been the center of the world’s high-end furniture design industry. In 2021, she traveled to Europe and partnered with two furniture designers from Milan, Italy, who specialize in contemporary minimalist furniture design.

By combining Milan-inspired aesthetics with China’s mature manufacturing capabilities and supply chain efficiency, STANDEE was able to make premium-level design more accessible.
—— What Alice Discovered in America
Two things stood out
In 2024, Alice visited the East Coast of the United States. In early 2025, she traveled to the West Coast. After studying the American furniture market, she noticed two things:
Many products were stuck in tradition. Many furniture products still followed traditional styles that had remained unchanged for years.
Modern design stayed out of reach. At the same time, modern Italian-inspired furniture brands were often extremely expensive and out of reach for most families. Many consumers loved the aesthetic, but very few could realistically afford it.
That realization led to the creation of YEEHAM — a modern furniture brand designed specifically for American consumers.
